COURSE DESCRIPTION

Students that study drama will learn how to present themselves in front of an audience of people. Performing on stage in both group performances and individually, they will learn how to be confident communicators by mastering the skills of voice and body movement. This is done in a practical environment that has an emphasis on building confidence and using the Imagination.

Students studying Drama for their HSC and  elective Drama classes have the opportunity to showcase their talents at the annual Drama Performance night.

  • Realism as a performance Style for stage and film

To do drama you do not have to:

  • Jump around in pink and purple coloured tights
  • Be a loud and outgoing person
  • Be able to sing, dance

In Drama you will get to:

  • Challenge your own limitations that you have placed on yourself
  • Develop your confidence – "Put away your little butterfly wings and strap on your Big Eagle wings"
  • Learn to communicate more freely and easily with people
  • Do practical tasks that help take the stress out of an assessment driven school day!
