For more information, visit the student wellbeing section of the department’s website.

Like all NSW public schools, we promote the healthy development of students through:

  • supporting individual students who need help with health issues
  • providing first aid and temporary care of students who become unwell or who have an accident at school.

Student wellbeing

Like all NSW public schools, we provide safe learning and teaching environments to encourage healthy, happy, successful and productive students.

The department is committed to creating quality learning opportunities for children and young people. These opportunities support wellbeing through positive and respectful relationships and fostering a sense of belonging to the school and community.

The Wellbeing Framework for Schools helps schools support the cognitive, physical, social, emotional and spiritual development of students and allows them to connect, succeed and thrive throughout their education.

School Captain Nomination Criteria

At Bulli High School, students are encouraged to reach their full potential and become community minded citizens, in a spirit of respect, responsibility and integrity.

Our elected School Captains will embody the spirit of respect in all aspects of their attitude and application by always striving to achieve their personal best; and  showing respectfulness in their conduct towards their peers, teachers and in their representation of the school in the wider community.

School Captains understand that they reflect the value of responsibility through their commitment to uphold a high standard of uniform, attendance and punctuality to class, their own learning, school activities and leadership commitments. They also reflect responsibility by advocating in the best interest of their peers and leading by example.

School Captains have a high regard for their role within the school community and their well-developed sense of integrity is at the core of the choices they make and the manner in which they speak with, for and of their peers. They seek opportunities to learn and grow through respectful listening and open communication.
